What skills do you need in new board members?: We are seeking individuals who are passionate about our mission in one for more of the fields listed:
Strategic Planning: We are looking for board members who have experience in developing and implementing strategic plans.
Public Relations/External Communications: Individuals who have experience in public relations and external communications will be valuable assets to our organization. They should have a strong network and be able to help us get more exposure to the public and increase our outreach.
Human Resources: We are looking for individuals who have experience in building structures that improve staff and board training, onboarding, and development.
Online Marketing: Individuals with experience in online marketing, specifically in using social media platforms like LinkedIn, will be instrumental in helping us expand our reach and engage with our audience. They should have experience in developing and implementing successful social media campaigns.
Fundraising and Nonprofit Management: Board members with solid fundraising experience and nonprofit management experience will be valuable assets to our organization.
Overall, we are looking for board members who bring diversity of Work, Wisdom, and Wealth to the table. We want individuals who have unique experiences and perspectives that will help us achieve our mission. Additionally, we request that board members bring at least one of the competencies listed above to the table, along with their passion for our mission.
Please specify the time frame the potential board member will need to be in place to begin their term.: The Board of Directors shall be divided into four classes. Each class may consist of up to four Directors. Elections for Class A shall be held in the beginning in December. Elections for Class B shall be held in the beginning in June. Elections for Class C shall be held in the beginning in March. Elections for Class D shall be held in the beginning in October.
